Graduate Ph.D Student

Garrett is a PhD Candidate with the Institute for Arctic and Alpine Research at CU-Boulder. His research focuses on watershed biogeochemistry, ecohydrology, and role of dissolved organic matter (DOM) linking arctic, alpine, and Antarctic systems. Through advanced DOM isolated methods as well as the employ of spectroscopy and high-resolution mass spectrometery, this work explores the connectivity between the terrestrial-aquatic interface as well as how seasonal dynamics and disturbance effects influence carbon cycling.
