Graduate Ph.D Student
Sarah is a PhD student in Dr. Jeb Barrett's lab. She researches the spatial distribution and activity of terrestrial microbial mats (e.g., cyanobacteria Nostoc spp.) within glacial melt wetland systems using remote sensing satellite imagery. She is also examining the spatial variation in terrestrial microbial mat physiology and biogeochemistry in Taylor Valley using the natural abundance of 15N and 13C isotopes.
